About Me
Partha, a Singapore-based Indian photographer originally from Uttarpara, India, is an I.T. engineer by profession but a photographer by passion. Photography, once a hobby, became his artistic voice, allowing him to capture emotions hidden in life’s natural compositions. Primarily a wildlife and travel photographer, Partha is drawn to bird photography but began his journey with landscape and cityscape photography. He has a keen eye for black-and-white imagery, which he considers a unique medium for expressing emotion and simplicity. For Partha, photography is more than just taking pictures—it is a way to communicate the subtle emotions and hidden stories found in everyday life and nature. Beyond wildlife, Partha loves exploring different genres, believing that creativity knows no bounds. He enjoys traveling, which enriches his understanding of cultures and landscapes, and often seeks inspiration from nature’s diverse beauty. Through his photographs, he aims to preserve fleeting moments and transform them into timeless memories. His artistic approach has made him a visual storyteller and a poetic interpreter of life through photography. During his photography journey, he understood that when someone understands the true aesthetics of art and takes control of creativity, can learn, and deliver the beauty of photography where the subject doesn't define your boundaries. Partha’s unwavering dedication to the art form has earned him numerous accolades, both locally and internationally. Notable among these are the winner in best Single Image in a Portfolio – Faces, People, Cultures of the Travel Photographer of The Year 2024, 1st Prize in the PEOPLE Category of the Chromatic Awards 2024, Best of Nations at the World Photography Cup 2025, winner of World Nature Photography Awards, winner of TIPA World Awards and Monochrome Photography Awards 2021. He was also recognized as the 2022 World Nature Photography Awards (WNPA) winner, and took 1st prize in the 2nd edition of the Urban and Country Landscape Competitions by WPGA. Additionally, he has received multiple medals and distinctions from FIAP, PSA, GPU, IAAP and PCA.
